Senior Duty Manager Full Time

Hotel Talent is looking for a Senior Duty Manager to join a property in Offaly. Key Responsibilities

• Shift Management & Operations:
  Take responsibility for the hotel during early or late shifts, ensuring all areas are open, properly set up, and welcoming for guests. Oversee daily security walks, reports, and handovers, while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and fire prevention protocols.

• Guest Service & Issue Resolution:
  Ensure exceptional service standards are delivered to all guests. Handle guest complaints and queries professionally, resolving issues promptly and informing senior management when necessary.

• Team Support & Supervision:
  Support and supervise staff in the absence of management, including monitoring grooming standards, managing sick calls, and finding cover when needed. Conduct daily team meetings and ensure all team members maintain high standards of service.

• Food & Beverage Support:
  Assist F&B departments during peak periods, contribute to product knowledge, and ensure high-quality service and presentation. Check function sheets and VIP guest lists to support smooth departmental operations.

• Administrative & Reporting Duties:
  Assist senior management with reports, payroll, and rostering. Handle administrative tasks such as signage, SOP updates, and promotion/event coordination.

• Facility Standards & Ambience:
  Ensure all public areas are clean, well-maintained, and offer a pleasant atmosphere, including correct lighting, music, and general presentation.

• Cash Handling & Compliance:
  Manage cash handling procedures and ensure full compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Training & Development:
  Liaise with management on hotel promotions and offers, and assist with departmental training initiatives.

• Flexibility & Business Needs:
  Be adaptable to schedule changes as required by the 24/7 nature of the hotel industry and perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the General Manager or Directors.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role within a busy 3-star or 4-star hotel is essential.
• Strong knowledge of the food & beverage industry.
• Previous Front Office experience is a plus.
• Excellent people management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
