Deputy General Manager Full Time

Hotel Talent is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Deputy General Manager to join the leadership team at a fast-paced Dublin based restaurant. This role is ideal for an individual with a deep passion for the hospitality industry, proven operational expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As Deputy General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations, driving team performance, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the General Manager in achieving the restaurant’s business objectives and overall success.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall running of the operation to a high standard.
• In the absence of the General Manager, the Deputy General Manager will manage the business in accordance with the policies, strategies and standards set.
• Ensuring control, procedures and systems are improved and maintained throughout the restaurant to ensure the smooth running of the business.
• To forward a plan for the business and ensure correct staffing is maintained and the level of service expected through a motivated and well organised team whilst adhering to labor budgets.
• Audit and monitor standards and improve upon them to ensure customers receive high standards of service throughout. Ensure SOP manual in all departments and training carried out to ensure all team members work to same standard to ensure consistent standards of service.
• Oversee Risk management and Health and safety.
• To assist the General Manager in achieving the strategic plan.

The Ideal Candidate: 

• Minimum 3 years of restaurant experience.
• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager, Floor Manager, or Senior Supervisor in a busy hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.
• A passion for excellent customer service and team development.
• Experience in stock control, cost management, and health & safety compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
