Duty Manager – 4* Hotel Cavan Full Time

Hotel Talent is proud to partner with a prestigious 4-star hotel in County Cavan to recruit an enthusiastic and capable Duty Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with a passion for guest service and team leadership to take on a key operational role in a busy, well-regarded property.

As Duty Manager, you will be a vital part of the management team, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel across all departments, with particular responsibility for ensuring outstanding guest experiences and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the hotel during your shift, ensuring high standards across all departments

• Act as the main point of contact for guests, handling queries, feedback, and resolving issues promptly and professionally

• Support the heads of department in managing staff performance, morale, and service delivery

• Ensure health & safety, fire, and security procedures are followed at all times

• Conduct regular floor walks and inspections to monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation

• Assist with staff scheduling, training, and development where required

• Manage cash handling, shift reports, and handovers with attention to accuracy and detail

• Contribute to a positive working environment and team culture

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a similar hotel supervisory or duty management role, ideally in a 4-star property

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• A customer-focused approach with a professional and welcoming manner

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask in a busy environment

• Knowledge of hotel systems and procedures (e.g. Opera, HotSoft, or similar PMS experience is a plus)

• Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
