Hotel Talent is proud to be recruiting an experienced and creative Head Chef for the flagship restaurant of a well-established 4-star hotel in County Cavan. The successful candidate will lead a passionate kitchen team, maintain the highest standards of food production, and work closely with hotel management to deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests and visitors alike.
Oversee all aspects of kitchen management for the hotel’s restaurant, including breakfast, lunch, and evening service
Develop and deliver seasonal menus that reflect modern Irish cuisine and local produce
Lead, train, and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen porters, ensuring high morale and team cohesion
Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP compliance
Manage stock control, supplier relationships, ordering, and food costings effectively
Ensure consistency and quality across all dishes leaving the kitchen
Collaborate with hotel management and F&B teams on menu planning, events, and guest feedback
Monitor kitchen performance and strive for continuous improvement
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy, high-standard restaurant or hotel kitchen
Strong knowledge of modern Irish and European cuisine, with a passion for using fresh, seasonal ingredients
A creative and organised approach to menu development and kitchen operations
Excellent leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and developing junior chefs
Strong understanding of budgeting, food cost control, and kitchen administration
Up-to-date HACCP certification and a commitment to food safety and cleanliness
Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt in a dynamic hospitality environment
