Sous Chef – 4* Hotel – Cavan – €45-50k

We are currently recruiting for a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join the team at a busy 4* Hotel in Cavan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working in hotels, along with experience in high-volume food operations and banqueting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure full adherence to Hygiene and Safety in accordance with the Hotel, Health and Safety policy and the Health and Safety at work Act.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food
• Support the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen staff and maintaining an efficient workflow.
• Lead by example in training and mentoring team members to maintain high performance and consistency.
• Contribute to the overall success of the kitchen by helping with stock control, ordering, and organization.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have experience in high end 4-star Hotel with 2 years experience.
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef, managing high-volume food operations and banqueting.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Have a passion for cooking, while creating innovative dishes for menus changes.
• Excellent Hygiene and HACCP experience.
